Composite Materials Design Engineer, Aerospace

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Composite Materials Engineer to join our team. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in composite material design and manufacturing processes.

Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

•   Lead the design and development of composite materials and structures for aerospace parts

•   Support the fabrication and testing of composite materials and structures.

•   Optimize composite material taking into consideration manufacturability, costs. etc.

•   Develop and improve manufacturing processes for composite materials.

•   Work closely with other departments to ensure successful integration of composite materials into product design.

Your Profile:

• Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in composite material design and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of composite material properties, processing, and testing.
• Familiarity with composite material analysis software such as Abaqus or Ansys.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including specification development
• Knowledge of German will be considered as a strong plus
• Flexible and open minded with good communication skills 
• Able to work under pressure and to meet the required deadlines
