Your team
You will be part of the Information Governance Division in the Directorate General Secretariat. Our Division develops, maintains and guides the implementation of information management policies and procedures, and is also responsible for related training, maintenance and support. In addition, we provide records management services and library information services, including managing the ECB's document and records management system and the ECB's archives.
In your role as a trainee in the Information Management Solutions team within the Knowledge Solutions Section, you will be part of a team of 13 members of staff supporting ECB business areas and their counterparts in the European System of Central Banks in solving their digital information management challenges by creating and supporting innovative solutions in the ECB's document and records management system and related applications: collaboration solutions, workflows and knowledge sharing tools. The Information Management Solutions team works closely with the Division's three other teams (Information Governance Policy, Archives and Records Management, Library Services) to contribute to the ECB's digital workplace.

Your role
As a trainee in the Information Management Solutions team, you will:
- assist in the functional support of the ECB's document and records management system;
- contribute to the design and development of business configurations, including performing business analysis, collecting user requirements, testing solutions and carrying out business change management activities;
- conduct quantitative and qualitative monitoring and report on information management practices;
- contribute to the Division's information management project-related activities.
The traineeship offers you an excellent opportunity to gain experience in providing information services in an institutional environment and to gain an insight into various topics related to the ECB´s activities. Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential:
- a bachelor's degree or higher in information, archives and/or records management, information technology or business administration, or, if your first degree is not in this field, enrolment in a postgraduate course in one of these fields;
- good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- an awareness of and interest in the role and functioning of the ECB;
- an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Desired:
- knowledge of enterprise document management systems such as OpenText Content Server;
- knowledge of the concepts and principles of document and records management;
- knowledge of cloud-based collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Atlassian Confluence (Wiki);
- basic knowledge of web design technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

You are keen to collaborate with others, pursue team goals and learn from other people's diverse perspectives. You strive to know and anticipate stakeholder needs, and will signal any need for change and propose alternative solutions.

All candidates should:
- be a national of a Member State of the EU or of an acceding country;
- be at least 18 years old;
- have completed at least a first cycle qualification (minimum bachelor's degree);
- be fluent in English and in another official language of the EU.
Following their most recent qualification candidates should:
- have a maximum of 12 months' professional experience;
- have been a trainee for no more than six months;
- not have been an ECB trainee or have worked for the ECB previously.
